Supplementary Conditions of Competition

 

1. Entry

  1. The competition is open to Men and Women and is held every Monday of the year beginning on the first Monday of December. It is run concurrently with the daily competition and therefore the entry fee is included in the daily entry fee.

  2. Tee times are allocated in a block between 11.00 am – 1.00 pm approximately. Bookings must be made by calling the Pro – Shop

  3. The following categories eligible to enter are: 7 day, 6 day, Veteran, Super Veteran, Life, Age based and Flexible.

 

2. Format

  1. The format of this event is Individual Stableford played over 13 holes.

  2. The event shall be played from the Gold or Red plates for the women and the Gold or the Blue plates for the men, unless indicated by the placement of moveable tee markers. The teeing ground to be nominated by the player on the day at the Pro – Shop

 

3. Rules

  1. There will be a Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring Medal. The winner of each Medal will be the best Stableford score of the 3 month season. In the event of a tie, a playoff for the Medal will be held the following month. To be eligible for a Medal, a player must enter the competition a minimum of 3 times in a Season.

  2. The 4 Medal winners will compete for the L.J.C. Cup by a Matchplay format over the first 2 weeks of December.

  3. The event will be conducted according to the Rules of Golf including the Flinders Golf Club (FGC) General Conditions of Competition and Local Rules. Where the word “Committee” is used in this or any of the Rules documents it will mean the Golf Committee of the FGC whose decisions will be final and binding on all competitors.

  4. Handicap: Is that of the day.

 

4. General Information

  1. The L.J.C. Cup has been donated by Lorna Conboy who instigated and managed the Monday 13 hole competition which has proved to be very popular for newer golfers, older golfers, time-poor golfers, golfers recovering from injury or illness.

  2. The winner will have their name engraved on the Cup and will be invited to Presentation Night where they will receive a trophy.The Golf Committee reserves the right to amend the event and conditions of play, as necessary
